This week we put my father into a hospice program. We have known that this moment was coming but it was still not an easy thing to do. As my parents discussed and signed do not resuscitate orders and medical power of attorney and everything else involved, I saw two people that really love each other. They were fully concerned about each other. Love is an amazing thing to witness and experience.
All the other problems I am dealing with at the moment seem so small. I knew that before this week but it is even clearer now. What really matters more than our relationships and our relationship with God – nothing.
