Why get involved with Marriage Mentoring? 

You get a physical checkup, regular dental care and even your car gets regular attention, why not give the same care to your marriage?  All things in life take maintenance or they will start to break down, marriages are no different.  Our mentoring program allows you to take the scientifically developed Prepare/Enrich inventory that highlights major relationship issues a couple may experience.  Then one of the church trained mentor couples will meet with you for 4-6 feedback sessions to facilitate discussion based on your needs.  It’s like a checkup for your marriage. 

What are the major goals of the program?

Our marriage mentoring program utilizes six goals developed by the PREPARE/ENRICH Program.  In order to achieve these goals there are also six corresponding couple exercises designed to help couples improve their relationship skills.  The six goals are:

To explore Relationship Strengths and Growth Areas
To learn Assertiveness and Active Listening Skills
To learn how to resolve conflict using the Ten Step Model
To help the couple discuss their Family-of-Origin
To help the couple with financial planning and budgeting
To focus on personal, couple and family goals

What makes the Prepare/Enrich inventory unique?

The inventories have been utilized by over 60,000 trained clergy members and professional counselors throughout the U.S.
Over 2 million couples have taken a PREPARE/ENRICH inventory and worked through their results under the guidance of a trained counselor or mentor couple.
The inventory is so reliable that the Prepare inventory for premarital couples discriminates couples that get divorced from those that are happily married with about 80-85% accuracy.
